Pre-Listing Inspections

Planning to sell your home? A pre-listing inspection can be performed before you put your home on the market.  It will help remove the element of surprise from the buyer’s option period inspection so you can be confident in your home’s value. When you mitigate safety-related inspection findings before your home goes on the market, your potential buyers will know you’re a seller they can trust.

A pre-listing inspection is just as thorough as a buyer’s inspection during the option period. We follow the same TREC Standards of Practice, review the same systems, and utilize all of the same technology and reporting software. Share as much or as little of the inspection report as you want with potential buyers.

Benefits of a Pre-listing Inspection

  • Evaluates the health of major home systems such as the foundation, roof, HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
  • Identifies small, safety-related fixes you can do before listing your home for sale to appeal to buyers
  • Assists the seller and realtor in pricing the home for listing
  • Provides a report that can be a useful comparison to the buyer’s home inspection
  • Builds trust with future buyers
